“Doorposting” – A Collection
Doors are important storytelling devices. They’re transitive; they obscure and engage; they each pose questions that require audiences to turn the knob and discover what lies behind.
So when I traveled across Europe, I stopped to take photos of every door that caught my eye. It might seem strange or even trivial, but it opened my eyes to the little bits of art on every street corner.

Although it is not your typical door, the Puerta de Alcala is the only remaining part of the medieval wall that used to surround the city.

Lisbon was the land of green doors. I especially love the “fake door” painted on the wall, how the citizens take pride in something others take for granted.
