About Me

My name is Anthony and I’m 23 years old (unfortunately, I don’t look as cool as I did at 3 years old). I graduated from the University of San Diego this past May with a major in English. I grew up in Tacoma, Washington around green trees and gray skies. Ever since I was six, I knew I wanted to write a book, to write something important. And I live my life with that goal in mind.

Writers are readers; reading the right books is essential to improving your craft. My favorite works are all from different genres but they are all written by authors who can’t help but be themselves.

Films, TV, Theater

Visual storytelling has had an equal impact on my own writing. Grounded in realism or impossible fantasies, I am always drawn to the stories that are a little bit aware of themselves.

Music

I like synths and bridges, I like wordplay and rhymes, and I don’t skip those 7+ minute songs. These are my top artists right now but I’m always looking for more.

Soccer

Soccer has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I love going to games, taking in the atmosphere, and when I’m not there I’m practicing a new skill in the backyard. Honestly, don’t get me started about soccer, I’ll talk your ear off.

Standup Comedy

I love going to comedy shows or watching the greats online. Comedy is like alchemy: instead of turning lead into gold, a good comedian can turn pain into laughter.
